Dr Fahad Javaid Siddiqui is a physician-epidemiologist and health systems researcher with more than two decades of experience spanning clinical medicine, clinical and field epidemiology, evidence synthesis, public health, and health services research. He holds an MBBS from Bolan Medical College, an MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Aga Khan University, and an MSc in Public Health from Curtin University, Australia.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Deputy Director of the Prehospital & Emergency Research Centre (PERC), where he contributes to clinical trials and epidemiological studies examining healthcare delivery, cardiovascular and metabolic conditions, and emergency care. His work includes the generation and synthesis of evidence to inform emergency care systems, health policy, and clinical practice, as well as the management of large, multi-institutional and international datasets.
Dr Siddiqui has an extensive international research background, including previous work with the Centre for Global Child Health at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and the Singapore Clinical Research Institute, as well as earlier academic and clinical research experience at Aga Khan University in Pakistan. His research has resulted in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, and he has contributed to securing more than SGD 2.1 million in research funding as a named investigator.
His academic interests include clinical epidemiology, evidence-based medicine, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, health systems research, emergency care, and knowledge translation. He is an Editor with the Campbell Collaboration and has been an active member and trainer with Cochrane Singapore since 2009. He is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring, including postgraduate evidence-synthesis education and research supervision at Duke-NUS.
