Bio
In the Lab of Cancer Therapeutics led by Professor Teh Bin Tean, I serve as the project lead for the cholangiocarcinoma research program. In this role, I oversee numerous cholangiocarcinoma projects that cover a wide range of scientific and clinical domains, including diagnostics, prognostics, molecular profiling, mechanisms of disease progression, and drug discovery. Additionally, I am involved in research on other closely related cancers, such as renal cell carcinoma, with a focus on profiling, mechanisms and drug discovery.
With training in both plant and cancer biology, I also work at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Biodiversity Medicine to discover medicinal plants with potential anti-cancer properties and to characterize their effects in various cancer models.
Furthermore, I lend my experience in research fields such as molecular biology, proteomics, functional studies, biochemistry, imaging, and next-generation sequencing to study mechanisms of sarcopenia disease onset and progression at the SingHealth Musculoskeletal Regenerative Research Group.
