Jimmy Lee Chee Keong (Li Zhiqiang)

Adjunct Associate Professor, Signature Research Programme in Neuroscience & Behavioural Disorders

Duke-NUS Medical School

Bio

I am a senior consultant psychiatrist and clinician-scientist at the Institute of Mental Health and an associate professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (LKCMedicine). I graduated with my basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2000, attained specialty accreditation in Psychiatry in 2009 and furthered my clinical and research training in treatment resistant schizophrenia at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health and University of Toronto.

My research motivation centres on improving outcomes and recovery in people with schizophrenia. To achieve this, I adopt multi-modal approaches to bridge the gap between clinical sciences and neurosciences with a vision to improve clinical decision making and treatment modalities. In my career, I have received several research grants and awards, most recently, the NMRC Clinician Scientist Award in 2023. In addition, I collaborate widely with local and international researchers across a range of disciplines.
