Bio
I graduated from the University of Leeds in UK majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Following which, I received postdoctoral trainings at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Chinese University of Hong Kong where I gained valuable insights into the mechanisms of cancer development and the potential use of cells and viral vectors as delivery tools for gene therapy, which later became the focus of my research at Massachusetts General Hospital and the National Cancer Center in Singapore. Towards end of 2017, I joined a startup company where I lead the RnD team towards developing novel strategies to enhance viral productivity, while continuing to collaborate with academics to foster research in immunotherapies. Starting 2024, I was appointed the CSO of BioCell Innovations Pte Ltd., Singapore where our primary objective is to bring cell and gene therapy to patients-in-need, offering them effective, affordable, and personalized treatment options.
