Bio
Professor Low Lian Leng is a family physician, clinician-scientist and health-system leader specialising in population health, integrated care and research translation. He is Chairman of the Division of Population Health and Integrated Care and Senior Consultant in Family Medicine and Continuing Care at Singapore General Hospital. He also serves as Director of the SingHealth Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation, Co-Director of INSPIRE, and Academic Vice Chair for Research and Innovation in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Family Medicine Academic Clinical Programme.
His academic programme integrates health-services and systems research, implementation science, population analytics, digital health and healthy ageing. He leads major research and implementation programmes in diabetes self-management, cognitive health, ageing in place, telerehabilitation, digitally enabled care and cardiovascular population health. His work focuses on building learning health systems that identify population needs, co-design and evaluate interventions, and translate evidence into practice and policy.
Professor Low received the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2024 and the NMRC HPHSR Clinician Scientist Award (Investigator) in 2022 and 2025. Education and mentorship are integral to his academic mission, spanning Duke-NUS medical students, residents, fellows, doctoral candidates, clinician-scientists and multidisciplinary research staff.
