Pua Yong Hao is a Physiotherapist and the Research and Innovation Lead in the Allied Health Division at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Singapore. He has served as a research mentor to students, healthcare professionals, and Allied Health researchers. He is an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS, Lead Mentor at the Centre for Clinician-Scientist Development (CCS D), and Associate Editor of the Proceedings of Singapore Healthcare. His research focuses on using technology and data analytics to assess, evaluate, and improve physical function in patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including the development of digital rehabilitation solutions and functional assessment devices. He has published more than 145 original articles, has an H-index of 50, and was ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists from 2023 to 2025. He is a recipient of the NMRC (i) Transition Award in 2018, (ii) NHIC I2D grant in 2022, and (iii) HPHSR Clinician Scientist Award in 2024.
