Bio
Dr Sameera Senanayake is a health economist and Senior Principal Research Scientist in the Programme in Health Services Research & Population Health at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. His work focuses on health economic evaluation, health technology assessment, and preference elicitation to inform evidence-based healthcare decision-making in Singapore and the wider region.
Sameera’s research spans cost-effectiveness analysis, discrete choice experiments, and real-world evidence studies, with a strong interest in cardiovascular disease, chronic disease management, and health service innovation. He leads and contributes to major collaborative projects, including the CADENCE programme, where he supports the generation of decision-relevant evidence for policy and practice.
His research is grounded in a strong commitment to methodological rigour and policy translation. He works closely with clinicians, policymakers, and multidisciplinary research teams to ensure that economic evidence is relevant, context-sensitive, and actionable.
Sameera is also passionate about research capacity strengthening and mentorship, and actively supervises and supports early-career researchers and PhD students in cost-effectiveness analysis and discrete choice experiments.
