Bio

Prof Tan Hak Koon is the Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Academic Clinical Programme (OBGYN-ACP) at SingHealth Duke-NUS. He also holds the position of Designated Institutional Official (DIO) at SingHealth Residency concurrently.  

He is the Chairman, Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Chief of Obstetrics, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He is an Associate Dean, Faculty Development (Clinician-Educator), under Appointments and Development Department (ADD), Office of Academic Medicine (OAM)
at Duke-NUS Medical School. He is the Deputy, Group Chief Education Officer (Residency).

He was the President of College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Academy of Medicine, Singapore 2013 - 2015. He was the Head of Department, O&G at Singapore General Hospital 2010 - 2019.  

He has been an Adjunct Associate Professor Duke-NUS Medical School, and Clinical Associate Professor, Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine NUS since 2010. He has been a teaching faculty and examiner for both undergraduate and postgraduate examinations since 1990s. 

He is a renowned Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist, and currently sits on many local and international committees and is actively contributing to clinical work, education and administration.
