Bio
I am presently a Senior Consultant in the Department of Endocrinology at Singapore General Hospital and Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. My clinical interest is in managing metabolic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and dyslipidemia. I am also active in the field of metabolic research.
I have undergone broad-based training in complex clinical studies, and my research interest is in the study of in vivo study in metabolic fuel metabolism in various physiological and pathological states. A better understanding of the disease's mechanistic aetiology will allow us to modify the hormone and substrate factors to regulate macronutrient absorption, assimilation, utility, and disposal. Treatments developed with such an approach would be more effective and also better tolerated for our patients. My long-term goal is to utilize translational medicine as a clinician-scientist to address the unmet clinical needs in managing metabolic disorders.
