Bio
Dr Ng Foo Cheong is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Urology at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He is the director of the Robotic Surgery Programme in CGH and chairman of the Robotic Surgery Credentialing Committee. He also is a member of the Medical Board, the deputy chairman of the Medical Audit Committee and served as the chief for the Department of Urology till 2019.
Additionally, Dr Ng holds academic appointments as adjunct associate professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University, as well as clinical senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is a member of the Urology Residency Advisory Committee (Ministry of Health) and a fellow of the Chapter of Urology (College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine).
Dr Ng has had fellowship training in reconstructive urology and subsequently, in minimally invasive urology including robotic surgery. He has participated as principal investigator in several international multi-centre clinical drug trials and various clinical and basic research projects. Currently, his research includes a collaboration with an academic tertiary institution in the area of biomedical engineering. He also has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences.
