Pathways to Duke-NUS Medicine

Classroom

Thinking about where to attend university, what to study and what career path to pursue can be as overwhelming as it is exciting – especially when you have varied interests!

Though you may think studying literature, music or finance would make a career in medicine impossible, that simply isn’t the case – at least, not at Duke-NUS Medical School.

At Duke-NUS, we not only recognise that people are passionate about multiple disciplines, but value that passion and the variety of skills that come with a wide range of academic backgrounds. That’s why we have partnered with five universities to establish a variety of pathways that allow students to pursue undergraduate studies in an academic area of their choosing while also looking forward to a career in medicine.

Programme:

9:45 AM - Registration
10:00 AM - Introduction to Conditional Pathways by Prof Lucien Ooi, Associate Dean of Admissions, Duke-NUS Medical School
11:00 AM - Sharing Session by Current Students
11:20 AM - Visit Universities' booths and refreshments
12:05 PM - Mini-Campus Tour cum Clinical Skills Demonstrations (Optional)

University Partners:
Whether you choose to study engineering at NUS, business at SMU, humanities at Yale-NUS, architecture at SUTD, psychology at NTU, or philosophy at Duke University, there’s a place for you at Duke-NUS after graduation.

By enrolling in one of these six schools and following their pathway to a future in medicine designed through a partnership that ensures students are prepared for medical school and the challenges of facing the healthcare industry, a career in medicine will be not just a possibility, but a certainty.
