Matters of the mind: Transforming mental health care globally

How do we support someone who’s not feeling okay? Assistant Professor Anne-Claire Stona from the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) talks about what’s being done to improve the lives of individuals with mental health struggles globally.

"We all have mental health. As the WHO often reminds us, there is no health without mental health. Our mental health fluctuates over time, shaped by events, interactions, and even environments, and it is essential that we care for it, even when we do not have a diagnosed psychiatric condition. Fortunately, there are effective ways to support our mental wellbeing, grounded in the care and compassion we show to one another, and to ourselves."
