Our heartiest congratulations to our clinician-scientists, researchers and innovators who received national grants and research awards at the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Awards Ceremony.

NMRC award winners

We are proud to announce that 40 of our clinician-scientists, researchers and innovators have been awarded prestigious talent development grants across various categories, including the Singapore Translational Research Investigator Award, Clinician-Scientist Award, HPHSR (Health Promotion, Preventive Health, Population Health & Health Services Research) Clinician-Scientist Award, and Clinician-Innovator Award categories. These awards are presented to talented individuals who lead internationally competitive, cutting-edge and novel translational and clinical research and innovative transformations

In addition, 24 of our clinician-scientists received the Transition Award and NMRC Research Training Fellowship. Collectively, these awards and programmes push the boundaries of medicine and improve patient care, enabling a healthier future for Singapore and beyond.

Prof Ivy Ng Honoured with NMRC Distinguished Contributor Award 2026

At the ceremony, Professor Ivy Ng, Senior Advisor, SingHealth Board, Duke-NUS Governing Board member and immediate past Group Chief Executive Officer of SingHealth, was awarded the NMRC Distinguished Contributor Award. This award recognises her sustained and impactful contributions to developing Singapore's translational and clinical research infrastructure and clinician scientist talent.
